About this role

As an app developer, you and the team are responsible for building and maintaining digital products that help our clients grow. Projects range from startups that launch at lightning speed to rebuilding and further developing existing applications for corporations.

Depending on your experience and interests, there's also the possibility to develop yourself more broadly, such as in native development, front-end (Vue/React), or technical consulting for clients. You will definitely work directly with the client and end user: you advise on technical solutions, align schedules and expectations, and take responsibility for what the team delivers.

You are involved in new projects at an early stage to write a project plan based on the functionalities needed. Together with the team, you determine the best architecture for the app, balancing launch speed, development costs, and future-proofing. This is how we help our clients grow rapidly.

You work in a small, tight-knit team of various disciplines: designers, app and front-end engineers. You are responsible for the quality of your own work, but of course others will help you if you have questions, and we expect the same from you. We also ask you to actively think about how we can grow our company and better help our clients, and we share our own strategic considerations, revenue figures, and prospects.

Besides work, we enjoy doing fun things, such as trips to Barcelona and Berlin, developer meetups, board game nights, and occasionally finding ourselves still on Stratumseind at closing time.

What we expect from you

• You are part of the team and enjoy collaborating, both within and outside your own discipline.

• You have a degree in ICT, computer science, or can demonstrate your programming and app development skills in another way.

• You are highly skilled in Dart and Flutter. There is also room to explore other languages or frameworks.

• Experience with related technologies such as Firebase, CI/CD build pipelines, managing App/Play Store reviews, error and usage monitoring.

• You are incredibly ambitious, eager to learn, and enjoy working on your professional and personal development. We like working with former entrepreneurs, people with an active student life, and elite athletes.

• Your code is top quality, tested with automated tests, and you can work with a code style guide.

• A professional and presentable work attitude.

Good-to-haves

• Experience with native development (Swift/Kotlin) or other hybrid frameworks (e.g., React Native).

• You have worked with front-end technologies such as TypeScript, VueJS, or ReactJS.

• Experience with Agile Scrum.

• You have an eye for detail, particularly regarding user experience and data security.

• You enjoy working on open-source projects. It is possible to work on open-source projects (during work hours).

• You like to stick around for the fun team activities!

About Dutch Coding Company

We help ambitious organisations to realise their digital goals. We do that by developing digital products, such as apps and web platforms, that help organisations grow and enables them to service their customers in the best possible way. We support our clients with custom developed software and, after the first launch, hosting and support.

We're a fast growing studio in Strijp-S, the creative heart of Brainport Eindhoven. Our clients include startups, corporates and (semi-)governments, predominantly in Health/Sport, Energy transition and Industry. Our stack consists mostly of Flutter, Laravel and VueJS, but we have a passion to try out new things.
